I'm feeling a bit sad and I don't want to feel that way. I have been through quite a bit in this lifetime and I am trying to live a fulfilling life. I've faced down cancer, twice, and won (so far). I know the world isn't all rainbows and unicorns, but I'll be damned if … Continue reading Hate, Anger and Fear Have NO Place Here
I wasn't excited about being bald from chemo. I was excited about my wigs, but when I was home I didn't wear them. I quickly learned to avoid looking in the mirror. The Henna Crown given to me by Rebekah Faith of Joyful Canvas changed that. I was never defined by my hair. In fact, … Continue reading The Day I Got My Henna Crown
(LOL, talk about chemo brain, I wrote this weeks ago and forgot to post it!) A few weeks ago my niece graduated from high school and her only wish was to go to New York with family and see the sights! I was excited to be invited and what a fantastic weekend. Ok, so there are two reasons I have been a slacker in blogging lately. First, chemo brain, every morning I say to myself you have to write a blog and by the end of the night I realize I have forgotten. Second, I've actually been up to quite a bit, so there is a little more than just forgetfulness going on!...
I think it's amazing that something so awful could actually put you in touch with some of the most amazing people. Breast cancer sucks, but the friends we make along the way are irreplaceable.
This past week, the motorcycle community lost a great one, Nicky Hayden. Some of you may know from other blogs that I am a bit of a motorcycle junky! My grandfather had one and he passed away when I was in first grade. I had been fascinated but always afraid of them since. (There's that … Continue reading Nicky Hayden, Motorcycle Racings’ Nicest Guy!
In the recent past with the advent of so many bloggers and the internet, I have seen more and more of what I shouldn't wear posts by fashion bloggers and I just want to laugh. I've done my research and most of them are younger and probably embarrassed by their mom's and what they wore. … Continue reading 40 Somethings Have a Dress Code!! What?!
